Polish Your Manuscript
Before Editing

Format your document for easy readability – double-spaced, Times New Roman or Arial, and no extra spaces between paragraphs.

Check for consistency – italicize book and song titles, use the Oxford comma, and avoid weak pronouns like it or that.

Strengthen your writing – replace passive phrases, remove unnecessary adverbs, and ensure cause and effect flow naturally.

Legal tip: Avoid using song lyrics or book quotes without permission—it’s plagiarism!
